I am so blessed! Seriously the more and more time that goes by, the more I realize how amazing my job is! I had an awesome day with Lyndsey and Jason today shooting their engagement photos and hanging out!
Can I just start by saying how absolutely thoughtful these two are?!? We met up at Horton Plaza in the Tomato section (in case anyone was wondering where we parked, since we had so much trouble finding one another) and when I walked over to their car, they proceeded to hand me, first a Jamba Juice green tea smoothie, after that a homemade cinnamon roll that Lyndsey made me, and then they handed me the cutest pink package with the most fun Roxy hat inside of it! You might not understand why this meant so much, but I have never said anything to them about how much I love all these things. If you go over to the about me section on my website, you will understand just how much they paid attention and how extremely thoughtful it was!
As soon as I took photos of these gifts, I then scarfed down one of the best cinnamon rolls I have had in my entire life. I looked at my roommate and said, “DUDE…..*pause enjoy a large bite*… this is good.” She looked at me and said, “believe me, I can tell by the way you said dude.” Lyndsey, I must learn these mad skills you have! I know we talked about hanging out again soon, can we make it a bake day? Please?!?!
This fabulous couple has had a long distance relationship and engagement (Lyndsey here in San Diego and Jason in New Jersey) and they are having a vintage themed wedding. When Lyndsey and I hung out a few weeks ago we talked about some ideas for the engagement shoot and all of a sudden it was clear, vintage luggage! To represent the distance they travel to one another and to tie in the theme of their wedding. We headed down to the San Diego train station (Santa Fe Depot) and shot a lot of fun photos there and then took a bunch more fantastic and random shots as we wandered around. I was so stinking excited for this shoot and we had a blast!
I want to thank Tricia for being so generous and letting us borrow her awesome luggage. It definitely added more then I thought possible to the shoot.
Lyndsey and Jason, thank you so much for the amazing time! Also for the gifts and for being so thoughtful! I had so much fun and I am so thrilled to get to share these images. This is definitely in the top of my all time favorite shoots. I adored everything about them as well as the both of you. Let’s do it again! Maybe without the water this time

The gifts that spoiled me (minus the smoothie that I drank right away) the cinnamon roll almost did not make it in the photo because I did not want to wait to eat it!

This photo = a smile on my face

I don’t think it is possible to be any more gorgeous

hi yummy light! I adore you

As we were walking we saw this amazingly decorated restaurant (I wish I remembered the name) I could not resist asking someone working if we could borrow that bench for a moment!

If you need a fabulous wall, might I suggest the tomato section of the parking garage in Horton Plaza?

LOVE!
