Katie and her lovely family

I have known Katie for quite some time now… actually it has been almost ten years, which is so hard to believe! I met her during the time she and her hubby were dating and it has been so cool to be a part of her life as she got married and then had little people of her own. We definitely have had some pretty fun and memorable moments in our friendship! I loved the colors she chose for the shoot and that little bow on her baby’s head…. soooo sweet! She asked me to do a shoot with the baby for her 1st bday (time flies, I cannot believe she is almost 1!) and then some of the family as well. Can I just say, wow we got some cute ones!?!

Katie (and of course the rest of the family) thank you for putting up with winds to get these shots! You sure were troopers, that’s for sure :)

Cameron and Joseph ~ engaged

I am sooo excited about this engagement session and wedding!!! I was so happy when I got a message from Cameron about her wedding, but once she started telling me the details and then actually took me to the location I became giddy. I have had the best time getting to know Cameron and Joseph and they seriously know how to rock a photo shoot. It is so nice when couples want to bring pieces of themselves into the session and really think out what they would like to do. These two definitely thought this shoot out and it fit them perfectly! I had the hardest time deciding what photos to blog, because I wanted to put them all up… it is such a nice problem to have!

Cameron and Joseph I had an amazing time with you two and I CANNOT wait for your wedding! Thank you for allowing me in to capture such precious moments with you, it means so much to me and I have loved every minute of it!

Kacie and Gerrid ~ engaged

I received the nicest message from Kacie a month or so back telling me she would be coming to San Diego for a visit from Virginia and asked to book an engagement shoot. I was so excited that she contacted me and after writing back and forth I was even more excited to hang out with them! We spent the morning in La Jolla and it was the perfect day, I don’t think we could have asked for anything better! One of my favorite things about being a photographer is the friends I get to make along the way, these two were no exception :)

Kacie and Gerrid, thank you so much for taking time out of your vacation to hang out and allow me shoot your engagement photos. I feel so privileged that you chose me and I had an amazing time with you! Seriously, you two were so much fun and I love how much you enjoy one another.

A trip to a mission

A couple of days ago I had the privilege of joining two amazing photographers, Cathy Crawley and Melissa McClure, in heading to the San Juan Capistrano mission for an amazing shoot with the lovely Sally Preston-Gonzalez modeling for us. If you have never been to the mission, it is AMAZING! You have got to go check it out if you ever have the opportunity! It was breathtaking to say the least.

Ladies, I seriously had such a great time with you all! Thank you so much for inviting me along and for allowing me to experience such a wonderful new place with such fabulous company! Of course I have to give a big shout out to Michael for keeping me company and being such a trooper while we were all shooting, talk about a good sport :)
